SATX Foodbank’s RUNWAY fashion show 2015
Creative Socialite was given the glorious opportunity to cover a highlight of fashion week here in San Antonio, TX. SAFB’s 2015 RUNWAY FASHION SHOW presented by Julian Gold and surrounding Alamo city boutiques. The evening was saturated in warm lighting, champagne, and couture. Snacks were sizzling, models and makeup artists were darting backstage to prepare for the upcoming fashion show, and everyone in attendance was dressed to impress.
I was greeted by Dawn A. Thurmond SAFB’s Director of Communication who made our attendance possible. Dawn donned a regal navy blue and lime smock paired with a high effortless updo, burgundy lips, and bangle metallic earrings. Dawn was a queen tonight with a mission and the gorgeously decorated scene before me-her Queendom.
Guests were greeted by a red carpet, handsome men pouring beverages on behalf of the SA Cocktail Conference, and plenty of flash photography.

Floral, lace, and vivid tones ruled the night lending an even warmer romantic vibe to the atmosphere. Local vendors also had fashions and accessories on display. A ‘Best Dressed’ Contest was also held for attendees, as well as a Kendra Scott earring giveaway.
Tickets for the event are sold as contributions to San Antonio Food Bank’s (SAFB) and their efforts to eradicate hunger in the community. Guests at the 3 hour event raised 10 grocery shopping carts worth of donations for individuals and families in Southwest Texas-showing that when creative minds and a dedicated community concerned effort come together anything is possible. SAFB has many fun events through out their year but thanksgiving and holidays have proven to be their busiest times of year. Donations and volunteers are always welcome, be sure to schedule your volunteer hours ahead of time by visiting www.safoodbank.org.
After the drinks and desserts were thoroughly sampled by patrons, it was time for the models to make their RUNWAY appearance and for the crowd to indulge in goody bags provided by Julian Gold.

The evening ended with Guests of honor taking the stage giving thanks back to SAFB for helping their community and for the beautiful evening of charity, fashion and laughter. Big things are made possible when all the moving parts come together with equal passion.
